This project is a finalist in the 2023 RFID Journal Award in the category of Best RFID or IoT Health Care Implementation. Based in the North East of England, Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of acute and community services. In this session, learn how they improved the utilization and traceability of its existing fleet of equipment at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, a site operated by the Trust. Gain an understanding of how the solution enabled it to avoid investing in new assets it didn’t need, via a hybrid solution combining passive UHF RFID and active Bluetooth Low Energy infrastructure.
